Modern civilization is possible because mankind have learned how to change energy from one form to another and use it to do work for us and to live more comfortably. As of today, we get most of our energy from non-renewable energy sources, which include the fossil fuels - oil, natural gas, and coal. They're called fossil fuels because they were formed over millions and millions of years by the action of heat from the Earth's core and pressure from rock and soil on the remains of dead plants.
But unfortunately, increased use of certain non-renewable sources of energy is impacting our planet in adverse ways through the toxic emissions from the burning of fossil fuels. Apart from which availability of certain sources of energy that we use extensively is also under question.
On the other hand, the widespread use of fossil fuels enabled the industrialization of the world, and the inconvenient truth is that mankind is yet to develop an alternative energy source capable of providing energy on a comparable scale at a comparable cost. Over 80 percent of the energy we consume comes from fossil fuels - petroleum, natural gas, and coal. The rest comes from renewable energy. And most of that comes from water (hydroelectric dams) and wood. For all the hype over wind and solar, the reality is that they contribute very little to our energy supply.
Indigo Green Energy (IGE) very much understands this conundrum and is committed to provide sustainable solutions to address the energy needs of mankind. While the situation is dire, we continue to look for energy sources that are sustainable and less harmful or harmless to the environment.
